Today, Telangana is home to over 2,000 life sciences companies, with Hyderabad widely recognised as one of the world's most important vaccine and pharmaceutical manufacturing hubs.

The state accounts for nearly 40 per cent of India's pharmaceutical production and hosts over 269 US FDA-approved manufacturing facilities-among the highest concentrations globally. With Hyderabad contributing close to one-third of global vaccine output, this depth of regulatory and manufacturing capability has made Telangana a preferred base for companies serving highly regulated international markets.

The life sciences ecosystem in Telangana is valued at approximately $100 billion. Importantly, this scale has not been built through manufacturing alone.
