Georgie’s boyfriend was finally going to see her on stage — and she couldn't wait

Follow YOUR STAR

Turning to face Georgie, Angel sighed. ‘Bit rude, wasn’t it? Just running off like that. After he showed you the sights. And you didn’t give him your mobile number or get his.’

‘Harry was calling me. I had to speak to him, didn’t I?’ Georgie said, leaning into the brightly lit mirror to stick on a false eyelash. ‘Anyway, why would I give Lonan my number?’

The dressing-room speaker crackled... ‘Your 15-minute call.’

Angel turned back to her own mirror. ‘Because, Georgie, he sounds like a really nice guy. And we haven't exactly made many friends in Paris, have we?’

Georgie felt her cheeks burning. She couldn’t look at Angel in case she read something in her eyes. A look of guilt perhaps. Because Georgie knew why she had run off and left Lonan earlier — if he was going to kiss her, she wouldn't have been able to resist.

Now, as she continued to apply her make-up, thoughts tumbled around Georgie’s mind. Suddenly her relationship with Harry felt like a house built on sand. Before she came to Paris, she never doubted that they would make a long-distance relationship work. She had tried to convince Harry too. But over the past weeks, when he took ages to respond to some of her texts and calls, doubts had set in. It was so out of character for him. Was he cooling towards her?

Now all this with Lonan had shaken her. Why was she attracted to another man if she loved Harry? And why did it matter so much to her what Lonan must now think of her? After all, she’d probably never see him again.

This last thought caused an empty ache to settle in the pit of her stomach.

Taking a deep breath, she looked in the mirror. She barely recognised the girl who gazed back at her. Four weeks had changed everything.

‘Hey, Dolly Daydream!’ laughed Angel. “You ready?”

‘Er... yes.’ Georgie smiled at her friend.

The speaker crackled again... ‘Everyone to the stage please.’
