Ever since I was in my early 20s working as cabin crew on long-haul flights, travelling light, I'd pack a toothbrush, a bit of make-up and my pyjamas. Jet-lagged and a little disorientated, it's good to keep things simple, and a silky pair of pyjama bottoms and cami top was perfect for relaxing and still looking elegant on a night out - most of the time, people didn't even notice I was in my nightwear.
