Kelsey Parker on grief and learning to love again

In the past five years, Kelsey Parker has been through the unimaginable. In October 2020 her husband, The Wanted’s Tom Parker, was diagnosed with an inoperable, terminal brain tumour, just weeks before Kelsey gave birth to their second child. Just over two years later, in March 2022, Tom sadly lost his battle.

‘I never thought at 32 with two children I'd be widowed,’ former actor Kelsey admits, adding, ‘I'm navigating my life, a life I never thought I'd have. I had the perfect life, my husband and two children. Tom was a pop star - who wouldn't want that?’

Three years on from Tom’s death, Kelsey has found happiness again with partner Will Lindsay, and they are now expecting their first child together. But the podcaster’s new happiness has not come without setbacks. ‘The [troll] comments are horrendous. It has just been awful,’ she reveals.
