Coleen Nolan on grief, anger and why she can't always turn to family

"I'VE STARTED THERAPY AGAIN'

The past year hasn't been very kind to Coleen Nolan. At the end of 2024, it was revealed she had split from her partner of three years, Michael Jones, again and just weeks later, her sister Linda tragically passed away. 'I am utterly devastated,' Coleen said at the time.

Now, the Loose Women star has disclosed she's back in therapy as she is struggling to cope with her anger and grief, confessing, 'I've found I've been much angrier this time [particularly after losing Linda]. I've actually started therapy again just recently because I thought, you know, friends are great - and I do have some great friends - but I think sometimes you need somebody that has no preconception of you, or has no opinion and they're just there, listening.'

Feeling frustrated

Given that Coleen also lost her sister Bernie to cancer in 2013, it's completely understandable that she's feeling like this. 'There's this rage that's inside you of how unjust it is and the missing of that person and it's not fair and that life has to, but does straightaway, carry on,' she says, adding, 'You go through those moments of, “Why does cancer take the wrong people?”'
