BEACH DAYS

There are two award-winning beaches. Head to South Beach if you're drawn to long stretches of golden sand, especially at low tide. Barefoot walks, paddling, building sandcastles and classic donkey rides are sure to get the whole family on board. North Beach offers more dramatic views of the white chalk cliffs of Flamborough Head - teeming with seabirds, including gannets and puffins - and the curve of the bay stretching south. The mix of sand and pebble beach offers plenty of rock pooling opportunities for fossil-hunters.
