Former Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver tells us about the things that she loves the most

The actor is best known for playing no-nonsense Eileen Grimshaw for 25 years on Corrie. Sue, 62, is a Loose Women panellist and this September and October, she takes to the stage in Alan Ayckbourn's dark comic thriller Snake in the Grass. She lives in Manchester with her husband Brian Owen and she has a grownup son, Elliott. Here, she chats to us about what makes her happy!

1 Reality show

I have to admit that I am rather partial to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I watch it and my jaw hits the floor. They're just extraordinary. They are everything that's not right in the world - they're representative of humans who have lost sight of what really matters. But I love it!

2 Romantic memory

One Easter, I woke up and looked around the bedroom and my husband had Blu Tacked 200 daffodils to the wall and thrown them over the bed with a sign saying 'Happy Easter'!

3 CELEBRITY HERO

My heroes are people who do things without anybody knowing - acts of kindness which have an impact on people's lives. Dolly Parton is a quiet hero. She opened a library providing free books for children and privately gave money for Covid-19 vaccine research.

4 Gift
