She wants fame and fortune; he wants a quiet life at home with the kids. It's clear Harry and Meghan crave different things

Prince Harry looked glum and edgy.

Meghan, as ever, sparkled and beamed for the cameras. The couple were on the red carpet in New York for a shiny awards do last month and the contrast could not have been stronger.

The Duchess of Sussex looked delighted to be there, hoovering up the attention before she took to the stage for their Humanitarians of the Year award (I know – I have no idea why they won it either). Harry looked embarrassed and as if he wished the earth would swallow him up. At the very least it looked like he wanted to be anywhere but at the Project Healthy Minds gala.

It was part of the couple’s public support for World Mental Health Day, but their approaches could not have been more dissimilar. As time has gone on, it has become increasingly apparent to me that Harry and Meghan seemingly want different things.
