DOMESTIC HONEYMOON TRENDS: GOA STILL RULES THE HEART

When it comes to honeymoons within India, Goa remains the undisputed champion for the second year running. Known for its sun-soaked beaches, boutique resorts, and vibrant nightlife, Goa offers couples the ideal blend of romance and adventure. Whether it's sipping cocktails by the Arabian Sea or enjoying candlelit dinners at a beachfront shack, Goa's timeless charm makes it a perennial favourite.

Rising in popularity is Udaipur, often called the City of Lakes. Ranked second in 2025, its royal palaces, serene lakefront views, and rich Rajasthani heritage are enchanting couples seeking a regal honeymoon experience.

Meanwhile, Mumbai — a bustling metropolis — claims the third spot, appealing to urban romantics who love a mix of culture, nightlife, and coastal charm.

Jaipur, with its vibrant pink-hued architecture and opulent forts, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, complete the top five. The Andamans, making their debut in the top domestic honeymoon ranks, have quickly become an in-demand tropical escape for couples looking to unwind without leaving the country.

A GREEN WARRIOR in the heart of the Thar

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Jitendra Solanki during a training programme on ecotourism organised by the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) and was instantly taken in by his deep love for the desert landscape. His knowledge of Rajasthan's wildlife, its resilient people, and the delicate balance that defines this unique ecosystem was truly inspiring. What stood out most was his passion for showcasing a different, more responsible side of Rajasthan, one that celebrates its natural heritage and communities with equal respect and sensitivity. It is for this; we celebrate him today as a Green Warrior.
