North East India Showcases Unified Tourism Vision at ITM 2025

The 13th International Tourism Mart (ITM) for the Northeastern Region unfolded in Gangtok, Sikkim from November 13 to 16, 2025, highlighting the region's diverse tourism strengths. Hosted jointly by the Ministry of Tourism and the Government of Sikkim, the Mart brought together Sikkim, the Seven Sister States, industry leaders, and buyers to promote a unified and competitive Northeast tourism circuit.

Held at the SAP Grounds in Pangthang, ITM 2025 aimed to amplify the Northeast's potential in ecotourism, adventure, homestays, culture, and wildlife tourism. This year's edition placed special emphasis on sustainable practices under the 'Travel for Life' initiative, while offering B2B meetings, state presentations, and immersive experiences through the vibrant Northeast Bazaar.

Strong Regional Commitments on Day One

Day one of business sessions commenced with a high-profile press meet attended by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Pema Khandu, Sikkim Tourism Minister, Tshering Thendup Bhutia, Arunachal Pradesh Tourism Minister, P D Sona, Assam Tourism Minister, Ranjeet Kumar Dass, Sikkim MP, Indra Hang Subba, and Tourism Secretary, V Vidyavathi, signalling the strong collective commitment towards Northeast tourism.
