DRIVING DA NANG'S MICE MOMENTUM: MARRIOTT PROPERTIES POWERING CENTRAL VIETNAM'S APPEAL

Vietnam has swiftly risen to one of the most popular outbound destinations for Indian travellers, driven by a blend of accessibility, affordability, and a rapidly evolving hospitality ecosystem. Visa facilitation, increasing flight options, and a strong value proposition have encouraged a surge in Indian leisure and business travel. Cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Nha Trang are now firmly on the radar for Indian families, wedding groups, and corporate travellers seeking short-haul convenience with world-class experiences.

Da Nang: Vietnam's Fastest-Rising MICE Capital

Da Nang has emerged as Vietnam's most promising MICE hub, a city where modern infrastructure, pristine beaches, and seamless connectivity converge. Its strategic location between the coastal vibrancy of My Khe and the heritage-rich Hoi An has positioned it as an attractive setting for incentive travel, executive retreats, and destination weddings. In particular, for the Indian market, the combination of cultural resonance, competitive pricing, and global-standard hospitality, makes Da Nang a compelling alternative to other established Asian MICE capitals.

Strong performance indicators and a clear long-term vision continue to reinforce Da Nang's emergence as a leading MICE destination. According to the Danang Tourism Department, the city is forecast to welcome 252 MICE groups and 80,000 delegates in FY 2025, reflecting a 10.29 per cent increase over 2024. By August 2025, Da Nang had already hosted 163 MICE groups and 55,000 delegates, marking a robust 43 per cent year-on-year increase, with growth driven equally by domestic travellers from the North and Central regions and international markets across Southeast Asia, India, and Malaysia.
