HANDS ON WITH THE 16E

IS IT RIGHT FOR THE AVERAGE PERSON?

I recently decided to upgrade my phone and struggled to make a decision, weighing the pros and cons of different iPhones and even considering switching to a non-Apple device. I don't always need the flashiest device, but I did want my new phone to have more storage, a better camera, and faster processing speed than my old phone. I chose the 16e after doing a lot of research, partially because even with the lower cost, the storage starts at 128 GB which is much higher than my previous iPhone 11 with 64 GB. Now I don't have to worry about deleting apps, photos, or offloading files to the cloud constantly to free up space. I am a little disappointed in the colors available, because none of them are particularly vibrant or inspiring, but I was willing to accept that knowing I would be using a case. After a month with the 16e, I'm so far impressed by its capabilities, excellent camera quality, and ease of use.

A SMOOTH SETUP

The simplicity of upgrading devices is one of the reasons why I love Apple so much. Setting up my new phone was as easy as could be. I didn't run into any issues; even transferring my phone number went smoothly, which hasn't always been the case. The phone immediately worked, with no glitches or crashes. One thing to note is that Apple has changed to USB-C charging ports across the board. The change in charging port and cables is a bit frustrating, and I will have to buy a new charger for my car, but overall, I am satisfied with the switch since it results in faster charging. I also recognize that these changes happen every few years with Apple devices, and we all learn to adapt (remember when you used to be able to easily plug in your earbuds?!). It's a small inconvenience but one worth noting if you are considering buying a refurbished phone instead of new.
