5 WAYS TO GET MORE OUT OF SIRI WITH CHATGPT

While Apple has failed to follow through on bringing us the much-hyped contextual Siri with Apple Intelligence, it has delivered ChatGPT integration to help make up for it. Here are five of the best ways to use Siri with ChatGPT to level up your iPhone searches.

1: LEARN ABOUT THE WORLD AROUND YOU

Thanks to the iPhone 16's Capture button, you can point your device's camera at a subject and Apple Intelligence will give you information about it. So, if you own an iPhone 15 Pro, the absence of the Capture button means you won't have access to Visual Intelligence. However, ChatGPT allows you to use a different kind of Visual Intelligence.

With ChatGPT enabled on your iPhone, you can ask Siri about what is currently on your iPhone screen, saying something like “Siri, what is on my screen right now?” Siri will then ask you if you want to send an image of your screen to ChatGPT. Select Send, and your AI assistant will describe what it sees. It's not quite the same as the iPhone 16's version of Visual Intelligence. For example, you won't be able to order food from a restaurant just by snapping a photo of the sign out front. Still, it does allow you to get more detailed information about images on your iPhone. It can be especially useful if Visual Lookup fails to correctly identify an animal, insect, plant, etc. since ChatGPT can usually find the proper information. Or, if you can't quite make out a specific picture, ChatGPT can describe it for you.

2: GENERATE IMAGES THAT GO BEYOND IMAGE PLAYGROUND

Apple Intelligence can generate images through its Image Playground app. However, it is severely limited in the type of images it can create. This prevents misuse by not allowing the user to generate photorealistic images of people or imitations of stolen artwork. However, these limitations also mean you can’t always get exactly what you want from Image Playground.
