SHINOBI: ART OF VENGEANCE

After the excellent revival of Streets of Rage, French studio Lizardcube has turned its attention to reviving another classic Sega franchise.

This time it's the Shinobi series, which has been dormant for 14 years.

But rather than following on from the so-so 3D entries in the PS2 era, Art of Vengeance goes back to the series' side-scrolling roots on the Mega Drive with original master ninja Joe Musashi.

Just like Streets of Rage 4, this is not a return to pixel art but instead a dose of Lizardcube's sumptuous hand-drawn art and animation.
