Exhibit
|Annual Issue 2024 - Collector's Edition
Technology is an ever-evolving field that is constantly advancing. However, some widely used technologies have become obsolete with the rise of newer and more advanced technologies.
There are various reasons why a technology can become obsolete. For instance, it could be replaced by a more advanced alternative, lack adoption, or become obsolete. We curated 18 technologies that have either disappeared or become obsolete over time.

1 FLOPPY DISKS
In the early era of storage, Floppy disks were widely used I Floppy were storage. They are flat, square shaped disks of thin magnetic material that store digital data. It had a maximum storage capacity of 2.8MB, which was enough back in the day to store documents. However, with the advancement of technology, they became outdated and were eventually replaced by more advanced alternatives such as USB drives, SSDs and cloud storage. USB drives offer a more convenient way of storing and transferring data, while cloud storage provides a reliable method of data storage. The emergence of these alternatives made floppy disks obsolete and less popular among users.

2 PAGERS
Did you know that Pagers were widely used before the telephone was invented? They could only receive short text messages or numeric codes, which could be easily displayed on their tiny monochrome screens; however, with the rise of mobile smartphones packed with multiple features such as voice calls and messaging apps, the pagers were phased out and became obsolete.
