Rob just cares about his own team's display

ROB Baxter has told his Exeter players not to get caught up in the emotion that will be swirling around The Stoop today where Danny Care will be making his final appearance for Harlequins.

The 101-cap scrum-half will be bringing down the home curtain on his 19-year career at the club and while Exeter have nothing to play for in terms of league position, director of rugby Baxter is looking for pointers to next season.

“Danny Care has been a great servant to Harlequins and England and you can never feel comfortable when he is on the pitch because he can make things happen,” said Baxter.

“It will be a great occasion for him but we are focusing on ourselves. The final two games are important for us because they are against two teams who have been pushing for the top four and they will be a kick-start for next season.”

Exeter defeated Northampton last Sunday having conceded 79 points against Gloucester in the previous round, a rout which prompted chairman Tony Rowe to fire head coach Rob Hunter and remove Ali Hepher from the first team’s coaching roster.
