Cook's crew not fazed as they eye tilt at top half

THERE appear to be few signs of second season syndrome at Westcombe Park as captain Nick Cook reveals the group aren’t even contemplating the threat of relegation and are instead targeting a top-half finish.
No.8 Cook has been with the Londoners since 2019, almost immediately taking over the captaincy and has been a key figure this term with five tries in eight appearances for last season’s ninth place finishers.
Westcombe, who were promoted into National Two East ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, came into this weekend 16 points clear of the relegation places and 26-yearold Cook says there’s a great feeling in the group.
