REDRUTH had to dig deep to see off a physical Cinderford side who deservedly took a losing bonus point back home.

Cinderford had first use of the slope with their big forwards looking to make inroads.

Redruth were forced to make some brave tackles while out wide Sam Samak made a couple of powerful runs that almost brought an early score for the visitors.

Eventually the presCinderford sure told kicked to the corner, and from the resulting drive Jimmy Williams sniped from short-range to dot down. Reece Broughton added the conversion.

Redruth's first meaningful attack saw them held up over the line, but for the rest of the half it was very much Cinderford dictating the game, but the Red line held firm.
