QUICK SCAN'S SETTING PACE

IT may not have looked the greatest St Leger on paper but the clock says something slightly different with the final Classic of the season producing some decent figures.

SCANDINAVIA and RAHIEBB both clocked a healthy 115 for their effort at Doncaster with the former looking a proper Cup horse in the making for next season. He may well head to Ascot now for the Champions meeting where he'll have the chance to take on Trawlerman and he looks the clear heir to Kyprios at Ballydoyle with more improvement to come as a 4yo.

Rahiebb clearly enjoyed this test of stamina and showed a decent turn of foot to make up a lot of ground inside the final furlong. It’s telling though that he couldn't go past Scandinavia but it was still a very smart effort and he’s another who could improve again next term.
