The versatile Welshman tipped for this weekend's National Hill-Climb Championships tells us how he's preparing
What's your cycling background?
I started riding with my local club Rhos-on-Sea CC aged 15, and raced but wasn't very good. When I got into hill-climbs, I did alright, so resumed road racing, with a few time trials too. Since 2020, I've been racing cross-country mountain bikes, am a two-time Welsh champion, and always end my year with the hill-climb season. I've even added fell running and longer-distance cyclo-cross races to my calendar.
