"He was righteous even though his father was evil," said another.
"What did you learn?" Rajendranath asked Gadai.
Gadai thought deeply and then said, “Prahlad had true shraddha sir.” "Very good," the teacher smiled, "try as he might, his father could not shake Prahlad's devotion for god."
After school, Gadai went to Madhu Jugi's hut and called out to the weaver in his sweet voice. "I bought sandesh in the hope you would come here," Madhu said while lovingly serving the sweets to his little guest. Gadai happily ate his fill. Then showing his book, he remarked, "Kaka, we learnt about Prahlad today. Would you like to hear his story?"
