A fictional narrative based on incidents from the childhood of Sri Ramakrishna.
GITANJALI MURARI
The old sadhu was burning with fever. 'Please sir,' begged Gadai, 'let me fetch the doctor. 'Hari is taking care of me, son,' he said feebly, 'don't trouble yourself!
Days passed and the sadhu grew weaker but his faith in god remained unshaken. Then one morning Gadai arrived at the pilgrim house to find him meditating outside on the dewy grass. It was a cold day and Gadai hastened to make a fire. The glow of flames warmed the sadhu. Opening his eyes, he smiled at the boy watching him with concern. 'Today I'll teach you a new method of meditation,' he said, 'come, sit beside me.'
