Chance to remember World War Two heroes

|July 16, 2025
A few months ago the 80th anniversary of VE Day, the end of the War in Europe against Hitler’s Germany, was celebrated widely through out the UK.
For most people it marked the end of the Second World War.
However, in the Far East, men and women of what has since become known as the Forgotten Army were still fighting and dying in a ferocious battle against the Japanese.
Many more were barely surviving the horrors of the Japanese hell camps where Allied POWs were being starved and beaten to death.
It was not until August 15 1945 - VJ Daythat the Second World War finally ended when Japan surrendered.
