Wales & West Utilities is urging property owners, landlords and designated key holders in the affected areas, who are aware their property is empty, to get in contact with them immediately to discuss ways for engineers to gain access.
The gas supply was cut off to more than 4,600 homes and businesses in the South Hams area on Saturday, January 3, when a gas main was damaged by a third party in a field at Belle Hill, near Kingsbridge.
The outage affects residents and businesses in Kingsbridge, Salcombe, and Malborough.
More than 100 engineers were drafted in from across the wider region to help manage the massive logistical task of home visits.
