Colleges to get £570m to train skilled workers

COLLEGES will get £570 million as part of a push to train more builders, coders and engineers.

About £100 million of the funding will go to mayors to boost the number of places on construction courses, the Department for Education (DfE) said.
The Government has pledged to train 60,000 new construction workers to build 1.5 million homes by the end of the Parliament.
