Maloney aiming to kick on after extending Chiefs stay

MARTIN Maloney is relishing the challenge of returning Exeter Chiefs to the top of English rugby after pledging his future to the club, writes Stuart James.

The 25-year-old Irishman made 15 appearances for the club in all competitions this season, scoring three tries along the way. And after what was a disappointing campaign at Sandy Park, the focus is very much on an improved performance in 2025/26.

“I’m delighted to have re-signed here at Exeter Chiefs,” Moloney said. “We have a huge opportunity as a team next season to take Chiefs back to the top. I'm very excited for the challenge.
