MANY of the older residents of Fowey may recall seeing the veteran cargo ship 'Antonio de Satrustegui' on one of its 48 visits to their deepwater harbour between 1965 and 1976.
Launched in Vancouver in 1920 as the 'Canadian Raider,' the ship was renamed after coming into Italian ownership in the 1930s.
Michael Bowman's 2pm auction next Saturday, July 26 at Chudleigh Town Hall will feature a large unframed oil on board study of the SS Antonio de Sarustegui, by Fred Yates (1922-2008), as seen from the artist's living room window.
