ELFYN Evans is one step away from his maiden World Rally Championship crown.

Evans held a 13-point lead heading into the weekend's Rally Japan, but that advantage has been slashed after rival Sebastien Ogier claimed victory.
Evans finished 11.6 seconds behind his Toyota teammate.
