Glovers confirm new training base

June 12, 2025

YEOVIL Town have confirmed that their first-team training operations will be relocating to the SGS Wise Campus in Stoke Gifford ahead of the new season.

The club believes the strategic move represents a significant step forward for the club, giving players and staff access to top-class facilities in a high-performance environment, which is also used by the likes of Bristol Rovers.

The decision has been met with some disappointment amongst the fan-base who, despite acknowledging the benefits of training with better facilities and the potential of garnering interest from a wider pool of players, want to see their club solely operating in the area in which it serves. There is also a fear that by not training within the area, the community spirit between the players and fans could be negatively impacted through a potential lack of presence.

Executive chairman Stuart Robins told the club’s website: “This move represents a major milestone in the continued evolution of Yeovil Town Football Club. Providing our players and staff with access to elite training facilities is essential if we are to raise standards and push toward our ambition of returning to the Football League.

“The SGS Wise Campus offers exactly the kind of environment we need to drive progress and deliver results, while maintaining our strong identity and connection with the Yeovil community.”
