Police witness appeal after ‘youth threatened mother and children’

A MOTHER has told of how she was left terrified after she and her children were reportedly threatened by a “youth with a knife” at a shopping centre in south Bristol on Friday afternoon.

Avon and Somerset Police received a 999 call from a mum who claimed that multiple threats were made to harm her as well as her children at the Broadwalk Shopping Centre, in Knowle.

The youth, described as a male who was riding a green motorbike, was reported to have a knife.

Firearms officers were immediately deployed to the shopping centre and were assisted by the National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter.

However, the youth was not located at the time and officers conducted patrols around the area.
