- DANIEL CLARK Sports writer

Rugby head coach George Skivington admitted that a late yellow card was costly as Munster took advantage to eventually cruise to a 31-3 success in the European Champions Cup on Saturday.A dominant second-half was the difference as the two-time winners scored five tries to pick up the full five points, sending inexperienced Gloucester back with nothing.

An ugly first half that was full of errors ended with the hosts holding a 7-3 lead after Dan Kelly had crossed in the 21st minute.

Gloucester were very much in the game heading into the final quarter, but after Caio James was deemed to illegally disrupt the breakdown and sent to the sin-bin, the Irish side ran away with it.

Ruadhan Quinn scored straight from the penalty, before Tom Farrell and Tadhg Beirne added late gloss with tries against the 14 men.

"I think obviously it was costly at the end," Skivington conceded. "The yellow card was really costly for us. They got three tries in that period.
