Clarke is searching for answers at Pirates

DARRELL Clarke has stressed that he is working hard to find solutions to Bristol Rovers' attacking problems as they look to end a five-match losing streak in Sky Bet League Two.

Although they produced an improved display against Gillingham last Saturday, the Pirates lost 1-0, despite registering 70 percent of the possession and taking 17 shots.

Rovers got back to winning ways on Tuesday, beating Plymouth 1-0 in the Vertu Trophy at the Memorial Stadium, thanks to a 94th-minute winner from Kamil Conteh.

Bryant Bilongo started as a makeshift striker on Tuesday and was lively in the 30 minutes he played as the central attacker. With Promise Omochere and Ellis Harrison out, Bilongo is a striker option for Clarke as Rovers look to improve on their recent goalscoring record, which has seen them score just twice in their last five League games.
