Last of 35 SMRT heritage murals unveiled in Choa Chu Kang

Over two weeks, six students from APSN Katong School worked together to capture the evolution of Choa Chu Kang, from agricultural villages in the colonial era to modern urban living.
Commuters passing through Choa Chu Kang MRT station can now view this massive artwork on a 15m-long wall mural on its premises, or an 8m-long version at the area's bus interchange.
This was the final piece of rail operator SMRT's Comic Connect murals, depicting images such as Singapore's last wild tiger seen in the area in 1930, Kampong Belimbing, the Brickland military-themed playground, which pays homage to the former Keat Hong Camp, nature farms and the Bukit Panjang LRT, Singapore's first light rail system.
Comic Connect is a collaboration between Singapore's pioneer rail operator and local artists to create heritage-themed comic murals at 35 SMRT-operated train stations and bus interchanges.
