The fixture arrives at a demanding point in Sundowns' schedule, with the Brazilians juggling their domestic title ambitions while preparing for a crucial continental assignment later in the week.
Miguel Cardoso’ side will host Stade Malien in the quarterfinal first leg of the CAF Champions League on Friday, leaving the Pretoria giants with only a few days to switch focus between competitions. The defending champions are locked in a tight title race with Orlando Pirates, with the two sides separated only by goal difference at the summit of the table with 11 matches remaining.
