In a statement yesterday, the multilateral lender said its board of executive directors approved two projects aimed at improving transport connectivity and health services in Mindanao and low-capacity provinces.
In particular, the World Bank approved the $454.94-million Mindanao Transport Connectivity Improvement Project, which will involve the rehabilitation and upgrading of the 428.2-kilometer main road corridor linking Cagayan de Oro, Davao and General Santos.
