Starmedia Entertainment, in partnership with the Newport World Resorts, proudly presents “Here & Now: Celebrating the Music of Jose Mari Chan,” a landmark concert honoring one of the Philippines’ most enduring musical icons.

- By CARLO OROSA

Originally slated for a single night on Dec. 11 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT), overwhelming public demand has transformed the tribute into a two-night celebration that pays homage to the unparalleled legacy of Jose Mari Chan.

Tickets for the Dec. 11 show were sold out within 24 hours of release, reflecting the public’s deep affection for Chan and his timeless music. Just two weeks later, NPAT announced a second date to accommodate the surge of ticket buyers. The added show, featuring special guests Lani Misalucha and the Ryan Cayabyab Singers, sold out in two days, cementing the tribute as one of the most in-demand musical events of 2025.
