PNP acquires P1.6-B vehicles, firearms
The Philippine Star
|November 18, 2025
The Philippine National Police has acquired vehicles, firearms, safety gear and other equipment worth P1.67 billion to boost the operational capabilities of PNP units nationwide.
Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla and acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. led the ceremonial blessing of the equipment at Camp Crame in Quezon City yesterday.
The PNP sourced the funding for the equipment from its Capability Enhancement Programs from 2022 to 2025.
Among the vehicles which the PNP procured are 383 personnel carriers, 225 light transport vehicles and 432 motorcycles.
Remulla said the vehicles are necessary as the PNP needs additional mobility assets for police personnel.
