IT'S NOW COMMON FOR SHOWBIZ PERSONALITIES TO SPEAK THEIR MINDS through social media posts regarding national issues — be they social or political. One of them is Carla Abellana, who has earned the title "Queen of Call Out."
Carla's posts, calling attention to issues she believes need urgent solutions, led netizens to give her that title. No, the Kapuso actress didn't find being called the Queen of Call Out offensive.
"Honestly, I find it amusing because Filipinos are so creative. Parang, paano nila (netizens) naiisip 'yun? How did they come up with such titles? But, I guess, in a way, I'm a bit flattered to have their attention," said Carla during her guest appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda."
However, Carla does not use social media merely to seek attention. She expresses her sentiments, which also echo the concerns of most Filipinos.
