Yet beyond the question of affordability, the Christmas season offers an opportunity to reflect on the enduring values of kindness and community during times of uncertainty, drawing inspiration not only from our own customs but also from stories that have shaped our cultures.One such story comes from Sweden’s past, a time when life was far from the prosperity many associate with the Nordic countries today. In the early 1900s, Sweden was a poor, rural country. Families often struggled to put food on the table, and Christmas was one of the few occasions to share something special.
