China's Wang Yi to visit New Delhi, India's Jaishankar to be in Moscow

With uncertainty looming over India's trade ties with the United States, New Delhi is intensifying its engagements with Russia and China.
External Affairs Minister Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar is visiting Russia on August 21 to hold discussions with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov. And officials here are getting ready to host Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi before Jaishankar flies to Moscow, according sources.
Announcing Jaishankar's visit to Moscow, the Russian Foreign Ministry said: “The Ministers will discuss key issues on our bilateral agenda, as well as key aspects of cooperation within international framework.”
Jaishankar's visit is part of the preparatory consultations for the next Russia-India annual summit here. Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected here later this year.
