Irvine seniors lobby at Holyrood

A group of Irvine over-50s descended on the capital to lobby for more representation.
Eight representatives from Irvine Seniors Forum, who recently staged a protest on Irvine Beach against restricting the winter fuel allowance, headed to the Scottish Parliament, seeking an MSP to champion the rights of seniors.
Secretary David Phillips said: "The meeting was on October 1 which was International Day of Older Persons. Our plans will go through the Parliament.
