STRIKER BACK WITH BANG WITH BIG GOAL FOR TOWN
HUDDERSFIELD Town forward Alfie May insists he has “something to prove” off the back of a tough spell on the sidelines through suspension.
The attacker returned to goalscor-ing ways with a late equaliser for Town in their 3-3 draw against AFC Wimbledon at the Accu Stadium on Saturday.
The goal was May's first in 12 matches, with his previous strike being netted against Stevenage back in August.
The forward was sent off for the first time in his career in the 3-0 loss at Wycombe Wanderers on October 25, which owing to the international break kept him sidelined for a month.
Reflecting on Saturday's strike, as well as a challenging period following his suspension, May told BBC Radio Leeds: “I think that’s a type of my goals, the little poachers, landing on things in the box and one-touch finishing.
“When the ball got stuck up for Bojan [Radulovic] to go and win it, he’s created a great header, and I didn’t think the keeper was going to parry it down, but you have to land on those type of things, and I've needed that, I needed that little goal.
