Western League is underway
The Herald
|July 25, 2025
IT may be another week before the Football League season gets underway, but the new campaign gets up and running tomorrow afternoon for local clubs in the Western League season, writes Stuart James.
Last season's champions Portishead Town and playoff winners Brixham are no more, having been promoted to the Southern League Division One South, while Ilfracombe and Welton Rovers suffered relegation.
Coming down are Helston Athletic, while Bradford Town enter the league after winning the Division One playoffs.
South Western League champions Sidmouth Town (East) and Newquay (West) make up the 20 teams competing this season and they will face a tough examination on the opening day against teams that were pushing for promotion last time out.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY
Although I am well aware that social media is largely an echo chamber that will feed back to you what you search for, there are no shortage of videos and articles about fashionable dressing for men, while vintage clothing is no longer merely bagged up and donated to charity shops but can yield high prices on re-sale sites such as eBay and Vinted.
