CRAGO IS AT THE DOUBLE TO LIFT LAMBS OUT OF RELEGATION ZONE

Tavistock get things spot on to win at Mousehole

Tavistock manager Stuart Henderson got his tactics spot on to win at Mousehole

STUART Henderson felt his Tavis-tock players executed their game plan perfectly as the Lambs got back to winning ways with a superb 2-0 win at Mousehole in Southern League Division One South.

Two goals from top scorer Jack Crago did the dame for the Lambs, who could have won by a larger margin, according to their delighted manager, who saw his side move out of the relegation places with the win.

“It was nice to get a win, it was much needed and it was no more than we deserved, to be fair,” Henderson said. “It wasn’t like we were holding on, it could have been more to be fair.

“They played like they always play and we created a lot of chances off the back of that. We have played against them so many time now and whatever personnel they have playing, their style doesn’t change a lot.

“It’s total football and if you can nick the ball off them, then there is so much space that you know you are almost in on goal almost. We were good value for the win, I thought.”

While the result may come as a surprise to many, it didn’t to the Lambs faithful, who have seen their side win on three of their last four visits to Trungle Parc. “We won down there last season and it is actually three out of four now,” Henderson said. “It’s a good record to have, but obviously, not every game is going to be like that.
