Yarm station named as worst for train delays in Tees Valley

YARM station suffers from a higher percentage of late-running services than any other in the Tees Valley.

The figures were confirmed as part of a TVCA report for the combined authority's transport committee, which met on Tuesday.

Following the cancellation of committee meetings in June and September due to them not being quorate, the committee were given a verbal update on the recent rail performance in the region for the first time.

Agendas from previous meetings show that during a time period over the vast majority of January, only 58% of trains calling at Yarm ran to the T3 measurement, meaning that they were either on time or arriving within three minutes of their scheduled arrival time.
