The View looks good at Exeter
The Gazette
|November 22, 2025
JOE Tizzard has been firing in the winners in November so far and it is not too difficult to make a solid case for his Ambion View in the Galloping For Good Handelsbanken Handicap Hurdle at Exeter.
-
Joe Tizzard
The six-year-old shed his maiden tag over this course and distance in the early part of last season, claiming the notable scalp of Ace Of Spades, who has won several times since and is now rated 130.
With that in mind it is perhaps a shade disappointing Ambion View has not managed to claim another victory since, but he has been placed on three occasions, most recently finishing second to J J Moon at Newton Abbot on what was his first appearance since April.
Ambion View should be sharper for that run and, while he is 3lb higher now, a revised rating of 123 still looks workable.
Tom Symonds also has his string in excellent form at the moment and can add to his tally with Hystery Bere Pencarrie Derby Handicap Chase.
It has been a while between drinks for this eight-year-old, whose solitary win over fences to date came in the spring of 2023, but he lines up for his latest assignment 8lb lower in the weights.
