FORMER BORO BOSS SAYS HE HAS NOT WITNESSED ANY ISSUES AFTER EXIT

ROB Edwards has claimed he hasn't seen the reaction from the Middlesbrough fans after he made the decision to quit the Riverside Stadium and make the move to Wolves.

Boro supporters were far from pleased with Edwards after he departed the club despite only joining in the summer and guiding them to second in the Championship before the two-week hiatus.

"I didn't see any of the reaction," Edwards said on Friday. "I'm [in] a bubble and don't look at anything.

"I was in a great job at Middlesbrough, we did well, but this was something I've wanted to do for a long time and the opportunity might never come again."

Edwards replaced Michael Carrick as Boro's new boss in the summer and made a flying start to life on Teesside, winning five and drawing one of his first six league matches in charge.
