It was third time’s the charm for Barangay Guadalupe’s Kendra Erryl Fajardo who was crowned Queen of Cebu City Pride 2025 on Friday, June 27, at the Sawang Calero Gym.
At the final Q&A, she drew from her experience as a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councilor when asked how she would motivate people in her generation to overcome their fears and pursue their dreams.
“Each of us has our own ambitions in life. The reason why people are hopeless is because they are afraid of what society will tell them, and they are afraid of judgment. As an elected SK councilor and a third-time aspirant, we need to change this,” the 21-year-old trans woman said.
“I believe that this stage is a platform for us to share what we stand for and what we believe in. Let’s create conversations so we can know where we are coming from. As a queen, I want to make this mission into action.”
Her answer echoed the sentiment she shared during an earlier Q&A round that secured her spot in the top five. “This is my third time being an aspirant of Queen of Cebu City Pride. There is no harm in trying if you want something in life. After all, that experience led me to become the woman I am today,” she said.
Fajardo, who was named Darling of the Press during the pageant’s media launch, was also awarded Le Luxe’s Beauty and Style Ambassadress and Icon of Elegance, Ms. Sale Jewelries Gold, and the MIGAG Choice Award and Ambassadress.
The rest in the top five are Danica Ella Gutierrez of Brgy. Kalunasan (Queen of Cebu City Pride-Tourism), Samantha Albali of Brgy. Hipodromo (Charity), Jerica Lugnasin of Brgy. Tisa (Heritage), and Ghab Atillo Baluran of Brgy. Inayawan (Ecology).
