Aside from the two Region VII officials, there are eight others from various regions, classified according to possible offenses:
1) For lavish lifestyle, Gerard Opulencia, Regional Director of the National Capital Region, was flagged;
2) For substandard or ghost project implementation, Gerald Pacanan (former RD of Region IV-B), Isabelo Baleros (former DE of Las Piñas-Muntinlupa), Almer Miranda (DE of Pampanga 1st), Gil B. Lorenzo (DE of La Union), Arturo L. Gonzales Jr. (DE of Quezon City 1st), and Johnny L. Protesta Jr. (DE of Quezon City 2nd) were cited; and
3) For failure to cooperate with the Internal Cleansing Initiative, Khadaffy Tanggol, RD of the Cordillera Administrative Region, was named.
Dizon said all 10 officials have been given five days to respond to the allegations, after which administrative charges may be filed.
“Kung akala nila ng mga opisyales na hindi ko seseryosohin ang sinabi ko from the very beginning, I hope this is proof that we are serious and that the President is serious. We will spare nobody,” he warned.
