Several journalists are drawing flak today after a local chief executive seemingly exposed their business of being paid in exchange for an interview.

Julius Babao and Korina Sanchez, who are both seasoned broadcasters, are now in hot water for their alleged practice of accepting huge sums of money from a resource person, vis-à-vis their exposed lavish lifestyle. The issue has caused a stir in the journalism landscape as the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP) opened the very sensitive topic of underpaid workers and the open secret of receiving “extra” for a story.
